The Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative (AuSSI)
- is an exciting national program developed by the Australian Government together with all State and Territory education and environmental agencies, and other key stakeholders
- aims to develop a culture of sustainability across all Australian school communities through a whole-school approach to education for sustainability
In 2005, the Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative - WA (AuSSI - WA) was launched to provide a framework that supports schools in the development of a whole-school approach to Education for Sustainability (EfS).
AuSSI-WA encourages the use of sustainability as a context for teaching and learning as part of a whole-school approach .
