AirWatch would like to make special mention of 8 year old Amelia, of Port Kennedy, who designed and conducted her own WeatherWatch project over the summer holiday period. Throughout the month of January Amelia took temperature readings from inside and outside the family home, every three hours from 9am to 9pm each day. With the help of her mother, she has presented her results impressively in table and graph form, outlining the relationship between data from three sources. In addition, Amelia has given a summary of her results and an account of the Aims, Method, and Limitations of her study. Her consideration of factors which might skew her results shows an excellent understanding of scientific process. A future scientist …? Let’s hope so. Well done Amelia!
